EHIBCC is the European Health Industry non profit association maintaining the Healthcare Barcode standard, widely known as HIBC. EHIBCC is part of the HIBC network supplying international support for the HIBC users.

The Joined Working Group AIDC develops new standards according to users requirements and supplies input to national standard institutes such as CEN, EC, GHTF and ISO achieving global standards for cross company and cross industry communication. In focus are Barcode & RFID but also electronic data interchange. Latest achievements are the standards „Unique Identification Mark – UIM“, adopted as DIN 66401 UIM and „HIBC-PaperEDI“ for simplifying data capture of shipment data at the point of goods entry by one scan only.

HIBC standards today secure unique product identification and tracking and tracing of products and processes on a world wide bases. EHIBCC accepts membership applications from manufacturers as from hospitals as well, supplying support for optimizing data capture and data communication.  >> read more
