| Update of the registration procedur for medical
products in Turkey |
Under Turkish law of 2008 it is mandatory
to register medical products with the national
data base "UBB (Ulusal Bilgi Bankas1)".
At the starting time a product was to register
once just by one selling company only. One
company was responsible to get the list of
products sold in Turkey in the data base
independently who sold it and how many companies
are selling it too. Since it was difficult
to maintain the data base if more than one
company sold this products having been registered
by one of the companies, the procedure has
been updated.
Now the rules became pritty simple:
A company selling Medical
products registers
exactly the products just
this company is
selling in Turkey. Other
companies register
the products they sell
independendly even
if there are products which
are the same
and already in the data
base. So maintenance
becomes much easier for
UBB. It avoids co-ordination
for manufacturer outside
Turkey but leaves
the responsibility simply
to the Turkish
importers regardless of
how many there are.
Searches in the UBB can
be done by help of
two criteria: "Which
product is in selling
and by which company"
and - "Which
company sells which products".

| HIBC Bar code for the Health Care in Turkey |
Turkey requires unique product codes
HIBC fulfills the conditions
In the "benchmarking" with the
Australian system in the health sector, the
"HÜAP-Datenbank" was introduced
recently in Turkey. It is designed for various
administrative tasks: registration of the
products, reference to settlements, etc.
In the barcode, the system relies on the
"UPN (Universal Product Code) concept
" with HIBC and GS1/EAN, which is also
practiced in the United States for years.
It does not limit to a singular nor numeric
system only. With HIBC the labeler is on
the safe site because for HIBC speaks the
alphanumeric structure, avoiding re-labeling
and avoiding additional referenz numbers.
See link HIBC guidelines. For information
how to register for a unique company identification
code please contact info@ehibcc.com |
